Trailer alarm system with four relay outputs
A trailer alarm system has to be heard on site as well as on the office phone. On washroom, office and wellsite trailers, one rule on the hub drives both the horn and the phone alert.
Four outputs on the hub
The hub has four relay outputs, and each switches one device you wire to it.
A horn or beacon can be added later to the same hub, without replacing anything; pricing shows how the hub and add-ons go together.
What can trigger them
Tank, power, temperature and gas alarms can each drive any of the four outputs, and the phone alert goes out at the same time. A water tank monitoring sensor sounds the horn when the grey tank passes the level you set. The power monitoring unit switches an output when mains is lost, a breaker trips or the genset stops. A temperature sensor does the same when the inside reading falls below your threshold. A gas detection sensor for methane, H₂S or CO starts the horn and beacon at the level you set.
The trailer security camera has its own siren and floodlight, triggered from the app; camera motion does not switch the relay outputs.
Armed hours per output
Each relay output has its own armed hours. On a washroom trailer the tank horn stays armed around the clock, because a grey tank near full is a problem at any hour. An outdoor siren on another output can be armed for nights and weekends only. A gas alarm at 2 p.m. sounds the horn and beacon, and the crew on site deals with it; the same alarm at 2 a.m. also starts the siren. The day crew never hears the siren, and nobody switches it off by hand on Monday.
Set once, applies everywhere
Rules are set once, on the status screen or in the app, and apply to every trailer. Example: H₂S above 5 ppm turns on the horn and the beacon and sends the alert to three phones. The 5 ppm is an example; you set your own threshold, and the gas sensor does not replace anyone's personal monitor.
The horn, beacon, lights and status screen run on the trailer with no cell signal, and on battery backup when mains is lost; the cellular connectivity page covers what needs a signal.

Common questions
What can I connect to the relay outputs?
Industrial horns, beacons, locks and lights. There are four outputs and each switches one device. If you have a particular horn or lock in mind, name it when you ask for a quote.
Can the horn stay quiet during working hours?
Yes. Armed hours are set per output, so a siren can be armed for nights and weekends only while the tank horn on the same hub stays armed around the clock. Nobody has to switch either by hand.
Do I have to set up the rules on every trailer?
No. Rules are set once, on the status screen or in the app, and apply to every trailer, so a threshold is changed in one place.
Is this a monitored alarm service?
No. There is no call centre. The alert goes straight to the people on your list by push notification, SMS or both, and it names the trailer and the alarm, for example "ModSensors: motion at Wash 07". The horn on the trailer sounds at the same time.
